Menega Cafe Jimbaran Seafood is one of those places that many people pay homage to everytime they come to Bali. Located close to the Four Seasons Resort in Jimbaran Bay, Menega is part of a row of restaurants along the beach that onl serve seafood barbeques Balinese Style. The taste of the food has this amazing smoky smell to it as coconut husk is placed above the charcoal during the cooking process.
The entire process if really fun. Just pick from a selection of live seafood - lobsters, king prawns, clams ( our favourite ), fish etc, and wait for your food. They only have one style of cooking, so you don't even need to worry about that. Vegetable and rice is included in the meal. The other fantastic experience about this is that you are physically sitting on the beach itself when you eat. So dress light, and wear sandals.
You sit on the beach, which can get extremely packed during the evenings. It is normally advised to arrive before 6.30pm, or else you may need to wait.
